Nászajándék - Wedding gift - 結婚祝い

Jól van, csak sikerült találnom még egy esküvős témát, amiről még nem volt szó. Mivel a feleségem barátai, meg rokonai szerteszét élnek az országban (meg külföldön), viszonylag ritkán találkozik legtöbbjükkel. És mivel nem volt japán lagzink (a magyarra meg nem tudtak eljönni), olyankor kaptunk tőlük nászajándékot, amikor épp összefutottunk. Attól függetlenül, hogy már fél éve volt az esküvő. (És még fél évvel azelőtt maga a házasságkötés. :D) Mindenesetre most a múlt hétvégén is kaptunk egyet, így gondoltam, hogy ennek apropóján írok egy kicsit az itteni ajándékozási szokásokról...

Okay, I've managed to find another topic related to weddings that I've missed so far. Since my wife's friends and relatives live all around the country (and abroad too), she doesn't meet most of them too often. And since we didn't have a wedding in Japan (and they couldn't come to the Hungarian one), they gave us their wedding gifts when we happened to meet them. Regardless of the fact that half-a-year has passed since our wedding. (And another half since signing the paperwork. :D) In any case, we just received another one last weekend, so I thought I'd use this opportunity to write a bit about giving gifts in Japan...

妻の友達や親戚が日本のあちこちに（そして、海外にも）住んでるので、ほとんど皆にあまり会えないね。
そして、日本で結婚式も挙げなかったので、（そしてハンガリーのに皆来れなかったので）、たまたま会う時に結婚祝いをもらったりするね。
結婚式が半年前だったと関係なくね。
（入籍がそれよりも半年前だったとも関係なくね。 :D）
とりあえず、先週末もたまたま結婚祝いをもらったきっかけで、その習慣についてちょっとしたポストを書くね…

Since then, I've been to Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon), the center of the Southern part of the country, and looks like it's also the most advanced city in Vietnam too. Both culture, both economy-wise. And on my third trip, finally I had one full day for sightseeing, and now I'll share my experience with you...

最初にベトナムに行った時からもう2年も経ってるね。
その時にちょっとハノイの観光ができて。
それからホーチミン市（元の名前でサイゴン）に3回も行ったことあるよ。
ベトナムの南の部分のセンターとして、国の一番発展してる町にも見えるよ。
文化的にも、経済的にも。
で、3回目の時に、やっと観光する時間もちょっとできて、見たのを皆にシェアするね…

A nyitótánc - The opening dance - 開始のダンス

A lagzis történet zárásaként van még egy dolog, amiről beszélni akartam picit: a nyitótánc. Elég kacskaringós úton jutottunk el ugyanis odáig, hogy legyen belőle valami. Egyikünk sem igazán táncoslábú ugyanis. Persze nagyon akartunk valami szépet mutatni a vendégeknek, de azért megkértem a vőfélyt, hogy legyen helyette olyan B terve, amit akár az utolsó pillanatban is be lehet vetni...

Wrapping up the wedding stories, there's one more thing I wanted to talk about: the opening dance. (The first dance and official start of the party after the dinner, performed by the bride and groom, as a "surprise" present to the guests.) You see, the path to actually performing it wasn't a very straight one for us. Well, neither of us is an expert at dancing, to say the least. Of course, we wanted to show some nice stuff to the guests, but I asked the MC to prepare a plan B just in case...

結婚式の話の最後として、パーティーのあるイベントの話をしたいね。

それは、ディナーが終わった後、パーティーの開始として新郎新婦が最初に踊るダンスだね。
ゲスト達へのプレゼントとして。
私達の場合は、それを実際に出演するまでの道があまり真っ直ぐだとは言えなかったね。
2人ともダンスが下手だから...
もちろん、ゲスト達にかっこいいパフォーマンスを見せたかったが、念の為にMCにプランBを用意するようにお願いした。
結構最後の瞬間まで微妙だったので...
