Nyáron a síparadicsomban - A ski village in summer - 夏のスキー場の村

Egy rövid vietnámi, majd magyarországi kitérő után pont egy hosszú hétvége következett július közepén. Erre a három napra jó ötletnek tűnt a történelmi hőhullám elől a hegyekbe menekülni. Így kerültünk a barátnőmmel Echigo-Yuzawába, ami egy hegyi falu Niigata prefektúra déli részén. Nagy előnye, hogy megáll ott a shinkansen, így nagyon könnyű megközelíteni Tokióból. A tavalyi niigatai látogatásom óta tervben volt egy itteni kirándulás, és most sikerült is sort keríteni rá...

After a short trip to Vietnam and another one to Hungary, we happened to have a long weekend in the middle of July. For those three days, it looked like a good idea to escape to the mountains to get some relief from the record-breaking heat. That's how my girlfriend and I got to Echigo-Yuzawa, a mountain village in the southern part of Niigata prefecture. One of its advantages is that it has a shinkansen station, so it's very easy to get there from Tokyo. I've been planning to go there ever since my visit to Niigata last year, and this time we got a nice chance for a nice trip there...

ベトナムとハンガリーへのちょっとした旅の直後、7月の真ん中に三連休があったね。
その三日間、歴史的な暑さから山中に逃げたほうがいいと思った。
そんなきっかけで彼女と新潟県の南の山中にある越後湯沢に行ったね。
新幹線の駅もあるし、東京から行くのがすっごく便利！
去年の新潟旅行からずっと行きたかったし、今回のチャンスを取らないといけないと思ったね…

A falu elsősorban a sípályáiról, és onsenjeiről ismert, így inkább a téli időszakban népszerű. Viszont szerencsére a japánok nyáron is szeretnek onsenbe járni, meg hát azonkívül is van ott egy kis néznivaló. :) Kezdésnek mindjárt itt a Fudo vízesés, a hegyoldal egy kis erdős zugában, egy rövid sétára a központtól. Ideális helyszín egy jó kis lánykérésre. ;) Mondjuk a hely szépsége ellenére rajtunk kívül nem volt ott senki... Lehet hogy azért, mert annyira tűzött a nap, hogy kb. leégette rólunk a bőrt... Ja, merthogy a történelmi hőhullám keze odáig is elért...

The village is mostly known for its ski tracks and onsens, so it's more popluar in the winter season. But fortunately the Japanese people like to take a dip in an onsen in the summer too, and there are other things to see as well. :) First up is the Fudo Falls, a nice waterfall in a small forest in the side of the mountain. And it's only a short walk from the village center. An ideal place for proposing to your girlfriend. ;) However, considering the beauty of the place, I was surprised that there was no one else there besides us... Maybe the reason was the weather being so hot that you felt like the sun is burning down all of your skin right there... Yeah, unfortunately the record-breaking heat found its way there alright...

越後湯沢は主にスキー場と温泉が有名で、冬の時に一番人気だと聞いた。
幸運のことに、日本人が夏の温泉も好きだし、他にも観光できる所もあるし、この時期にも楽しめるよ！ :)
例えば、不動滝、山の下にある小さい森の中にね。
湯沢の中心部からちょっとした散歩の距離ぐらいでね。
彼女にプロポーズするには、ちょうどいい場所だよ！ ;)
すっごく綺麗な場所なのに、何で私達以外に誰もいないのかがちょっと不思議だったけど…
まぁ、天気が肌が燃えるって感じ程に暑かったせいかも知れない…
歴史的な暑さは、そこまでも届いたので…

A ryokanban, ahol megszálltunk, kaptuk a tippet, hogy a szomszédos Shiozawa faluban épp aznap este van a nyári fesztivál, ugyanaz, ami itt Tokióban a lakásom közelében egy kicsit korábban volt. Így tettünk oda is egy rövid látogatást. Megcsodáltuk a régi japán házsorokat, meg az előttük sorakozó árusokat. :) Volt omikoshi is, de hogy őszinte legyek egy cseppet se irigylem a cipelőit. Csoda, hogy nem estek össze abban a hőségben... Hazafelé még vettünk egy okonomiyakit az egyik bódéban, nagyon finom volt! :)

In the ryokan where we stayed, one of the staff members told us that a nearby village called Shiozawa had its summer festival right in the evening of our first day. It's the same festival that we had here a few weeks ago near my apartment in Tokyo. So we thought we might as well check it out. We had a good look at the traditional Japanese houses lining up on both sides of the main street, and at the various stalls selling all kinds of food and other stuff lining up in front of them. :) They had an omikoshi too that they carried around, but I felt a bit sad for the people who carried it. It's a miracle that they didn't collapse in that heat... On our way back to the ryokan, we bought an okonomiyaki at one of the food stalls. It was very delicious! :)

泊まった旅館で、隣の塩沢と言う村で夏祭りがちょうど私達の最初の日の夕方に行われてると聞いたので、そこもちょっと訪れた。
（東京の家の周りで数週間前行われた奴と同じね。）
道に並んでる伝統的な家の並みも、その前に並んでる屋台の並みもよく観れたね。 :)
お神輿もあったけど、運んでる人達が結構かわいそうだなぁと思った。
あんな暑さで倒れなくて本当に奇跡だったよ！
ちなみに帰り道で屋台でお好み焼きも買って、旅館で食べた。
とっても美味しかったね！ :)

A második napot elsősorban pihenéssel, na meg a ryokan onsenjében üldögéléssel töltöttük. :) Persze aznap is akartunk várost nézni, úgyhogy el is mentünk egy pici szentélyhez a hegyoldalban. Az oda vezető lépcsőt egy hatalmas pók őrizte, de mivel nem nagyon volt légy-fejünk, szó nélkül átengedett minket. :D

Then we mostly spent the next day with relaxing in the room and in the onsen of the ryokan. :) Of course we wanted to do some sightseeing on that day too, so we visited a small shinto shrine in the mountain side. The stairwell up there was guarded by a large spider, but as we looked quite different from a fly, it let us pass without a word. :D

二日目には主に部屋の中と旅館に付いてる温泉でゆっくりしてたね。 :)
もちろんその日も観光に行きたい気持ちがあったので、山の下にある小さい神社を訪れた。
そこへ登る階段が大きい蜘蛛に守られてたね。
でも、私達があまり蠅に見えるとは言えないから無事に通らせてもらったね。 :D

A harmadik napra hagytuk a leghosszabb kinti programot: a Yuzawa Kogen sípályát. Helyileg úgy kell elképzelni, hogy maga a falu egy völgyben van, a sípálya meg a mellette levő hegyen, ahová egy hatalmas libegő visz fel. Télen gondolom mindenki síelni szokott arrafelé, a mostani időszakban viszont eléggé változatos programok közül lehetett választani. Pl. lehetett túrázni, ha valakinek ahhoz támadna kedve a 40°C-ban (jójó tudom, azt Okinawán is lehet), volt kecskesimogató, a szokásos libegő, meg egy medencés-pancsolós kis játszótér gyerekeknek.

We left the longest outdoor activity for the last day, when we went up to the Yuzawa Kogen ski area. The village itself is lying in a small valley, with the ski area being on the top of one of the mountains next to it. And you can get up there via a rather large ropeway. I guess in the winter everyone usually spends their time with skiing all day, but in this season there were several activities to choose from. For example, you could go hiking in the 40°C heat if you really wanted to (okay okay, I know you can do that in Okinawa too), there was a small place where you could pet some goats, the usual chairlifts that every ski area has, and a playground for kids featuring some small pool where they could splash around.

三日目は、一番長時間の外での活動の日だった。
湯沢高原スキー場に行ったので。
越後湯沢自体が、谷にあって、そのスキー場がその隣の山の頂上の周りにあるね。
ロープウェイでしか行けない場所だね。
冬なら、皆めっちゃスキーすると思うが、今の時期に様々なプログラムがあった。
例えば、40℃ぐらいの暑さで本当にその気になったら、遠足にも行ける。
（はいはい、沖縄でも行けるとよく分かってるね。）
山羊をなでたりする場所もあったし、普通のスキー場のチェアリフトもあったし、プールが付いてる子供向けの遊び場もあったね。

De mi elsősorban nem ezért mentünk oda, hanem azért, mert van ott egy (pontosabban hét) drótkötél-pálya, ahol lehet csúszkálni egy keveset. Kb. olyan, mint egy otthoni átlag kalandparkban a legjobb 2-3 másodperc. Csak itt tovább tart, és nem kell egy akadálypályán végigszenvedned magad hozzá. :D Plusz az akkori körülmények között épp kapóra jött a menetszél. :)

But that's not why we chose to go all the way up there. There was a place where you could slide down ziplines set up in the forest. Seven altogether. It's basically the same as the best 2-3 seconds in a so-called "adventure park" in Hungary. It just lasts longer and you don't have to push yourself through an obstacle course for it. :D Plus, the additional wind was just what we needed in those conditions. :)

でも、私達がそのために行った訳じゃないよ。
目的が、そこにあるジップラインのトラック（7本も）だった。
前ハンガリーでもやったことがあるが、そこで2‐3秒ぐらいしかかからない。
しかも、そこにたどり着くために結構厳しいフィールドアスレチックのコースもクリアしないといけないね。
で、今回は、乗ってる時の風もすっごく気持ちよかった！ :)

Aztán van még ott valami szerelmesek harangja, vagy mi, valami olyasmi, mint amit Kashiwazaki-ban láttunk még májusban. Mindenesetre ezt is megkongattuk egy kicsit, mielőtt indultunk volna vissza a faluba. Hogy aztán meg shinkansen-re pattanjunk, és meg se álljunk Tokióig. Hát kb. ezzel telt el a három nap. Itt lejjebb meg hagyok pár képet, ha valaki esetleg akar nézelődni egy kicsit.

There was also some bell of lovers or something. Similar to the one we saw in Kashiwazaki back in May. Of course, we couldn't just leave the place without ringing it a bit. And that was the last thing we did there before going back down to the village to get our baggage and then getting on the shinkansen to get back to Tokyo. And basically that's how we spent those three days. I'll leave a few more pics down here in case someone wants to have a look at them.

で、恋人の鐘とか、何とかも置いてある。
前、5月に柏崎で観た奴と一緒。
まぁ、とりあえず町に戻る前にちょっと鳴らしたね。
その後、もう結構遅くなったので、新幹線に乗って、東京に帰るしかなかった。
まぁ、その三日間は大体そんな感じだった。
